Movie Madness

Recently I have seen a slew of movies. Before P.S. I Love You came out, my friend got some free tickets to see the film before it was released to the public. (Sneak Previews are great because if the movie is terrible, the show was free anyway.) She sobbed through the entire movie while I was trying not to drown in the ocean of sappy clichés. (For those of you that are going to go see it, watch out for the flashback scene where they first meet. It's hysterical and yet poorly edited.) I would not recommend it.

I saw Sweeney Todd and being a huge Tim Burton fan, this movie was great. It is a musical (and yes, Johnny Depp does sing--quite well, actually) so do not get up and walk out because it was not what you thought it was. I really enjoyed it.

I do not know why I was dragged to see the sequel to National Treasure, but I was. The only redeeming factor in the entire movie is Nicholas Cage's quirky (and ever-so-adorable) sidekick, Reilly.

Your post should be a bit on the longer side. What movies have you seen lately that you would recommend? What movie(s) are your favorite? What movies have you seen and hated (and wanted to stab out your eyes after seeing)?

I would have to say that Disturbia is my favorite horror movie. It is so intense and exciting throughout the whole movie.... My favorite comedy is the newly released movie called Superbad. I think it is hilarious but others may think it is a bit inappropriate. I am McLovin ha

Some movies that I have watched recently are Mr. Brooks, Hardball, The Invisible, Balls of Fury, Blades of Glory, and Freedom Writers. My favorite movie of these is definately freedom writers! it is the best movie I have ever seen! The characters are played very well and the story is just great!

I also loved the movie, Mr. Brooks. This movie is about a man who is addicted to killing...but its really not scary its very exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing.

I didn't finish watching Balls of Fury because it was really boring. Blades of Glory was pretty good and super funny. The actors in Blades of Glory are pretty much awesome.

The Invisible is also a great movie. If you like suspense, you'll love this movie. Its very good and very exciting.

I want to see Sweney Todd so bad! I hope it's good!!

On New Year's Eve, I stayed in with my family [what's so special about New Year's anyway - tomorrow is still tomorrow...] and we watched a move we got for Christmas; The Shawshank Redemption.
When I opened this movie, I sort of pushed it aside because Harry Potter was underneath it - and that was the movie I REALLY wanted to watch again. I am sort of amazed as to how Harry was pushed aside as Andy took his place.

This movie is about a man [Andy] who was sent to Shawshank [a jail] for a crime he did not commit. He endured years of torture before finally earning respect for himself. He helped the jail acquire a better library, and handled the bank affairs under the Warden's watchful eye. I will not say anymore in case somebody decides to watch this two-and-a-half hour long movie =]

The movie I REALLY want to see is, in fact, "Sweeney Todd". I love Tim Burton, and the fact that it is a musical just makes it even better. Another movie I want to see is called "Juno". The actress in it was my FAVORITE character in X-Men [she was only in the third X-Men, but "Kitty" was always my favorite in the cartoon hehe] and she is a great actress. It looks like it will be the only teen movie I shall actually enjoy.^^

As for Superbad...
I would be the one that thinks it is inappropriate. I did not even WATCH the movie...I was on our computer in the kitchen when my parents and brothers were watching it. Just listening to the movie was inappropriate. But, alas, that is only my opinion.
