What I am gathering is that (mostly) everyone enjoyed the debates. Is this something that you would like incorporated into class more often? (Obviously we would not spend as much time on it, as it was rather time consuming, but would you be interested?)
I also thought we could have discussion days. On Fridays (or on whichever said day) we could spend 15 minutes or so discussing topics that range from capital punishment to pop culture to the next presidential campaign.

i definitely think this is a great idea!!!1 i would love to do this and think we should. especially because we have so many opinionated students in honors english!! this would be so much fun!! i agree with carina this is another one of geists great ideas!!!! lol
yes I deff. think that we should do that because the debates in class were sooooooo much fun! But we should debate on other topics besides books and do debates so the whole class can get a chance to speak out instead of just three ppl =]

It is a good idea...but we all turn against each other. After our English class, we all go to Global together and continue our "fights". Ms. Geist...how is our class supposed to be able to discuss things for 15 minutes when people cannot even keep their mouths shut? It takes you a couple of minutes to quiet our class down...and if we have an open discussion about our opinions, somebody is going to end up hating someone else's opinion and it would cause chaos.
It would be a cool way to get our opinions out in the open...but not everybody agrees...and that is a major problem in our class.
yeaa. i deff think we should do that =]] it was funn just to argue over somehthing that didnt have to do with school boys or anthing with drama. it was soo funn =]] i think we should do it again!!!
