It seems to me that everybody these days attempts to be perfect. Perfection is merely a word, but in my opinion, it never exists. Everybody has opinions, and because of this nothing can ever be perfect (but of course, that is only my opinion). While you may think something is perfect, the person next to you may think otherwise, and therefore nothing can be perfect - right?
Tell me this:
- Do you strive to be perfect? It is not a crime if you do!
- Who do you consider perfect in your life? Why?
Give me your views on perfection and imperfection. Just remember, if you are not perfect, then you are perfect in the world of imperfection. =] Think about that!

EmilyBemily...you can sometimes be a very negative person even if they are just opinions. Perfection absolutely exists! People may have a different idea of what being perfect to them is but it is out there.
Of course I try to be perfect,to my own standards. I do not wake up every morning and tell myself that I have to be better then everyone else or my life is useless because if I did that I would not be a very happy person. I try to make sure I am the perfect me and do everything I think is right. I do not care if I live up to other's standards because that would be their perfection.
Personally, I consider everyone perfect they have their own standards that they try to follow...whether it is in the world of perfection OR imperfection. :) Think about that! (lol)
How do you even know who I am? I am anonymous! *looks at name*
Hehe...that kind of gives it away...dunnit? XD
I could say something, but I will be the "negative" person with her mouth shut tight...for now.
i think that the thought of perfection being out there should make u strive for it.. never reaching it, but in turn it makes u always getting better at something... wat are the standards or perfection anyway
I agree with ehvop eiram... EmilyBemily you seem to always be negative. And with perfection... what someone thinks perfect is could be different then someone else. Of course i strive to be perfect but that just gives me a goal... i mean c'mon whats life without a goal!! Yeah we might not reach it ( you would know why because of the short story the birthmark) but it makes us a better person...in a way
I respect your opinions - now respect mine and stop calling it negative! I do not care about what you think of my opinion, just tell me your opinion on imperfection, and stop dissing mine!
We all have different ways of thinking - and this is mine.
SHIZA MUFFINS!
EmilyBemily, please refrain from swearing, even if it is in another language! =)
I would also like to comment on this thread throughout this post regarding EmilyBemily's "negativity". I do not think this post is negative at all--I think what she is trying to say is that perfection is really an individualistic concept; if everyone held the same perspective on what s/he deems "perfect", we would all be automatons!
To answer the first question, I do try to be the best I can be [isn't that the army theme??]. To be perfect means one does not have to --and can no longer-- learn. I love learning and though I am constantly challenging myself, I know I am not perfect, will never be perfect nor will ever want to reach perfection. I just want to be the best possible human being I can be.
Sweet Baby has to be the answer to my second question. He's cute, cuddly, is always happy to see me and loyal. Love him to pieces! =)
Kudos, EmilyBemily on your last thought.
*bows*
I thank you, Ms. Geist =]
i think people should strive for perfection but if everyone was perfect there wouldnt be any different people in the world to stand out and be themselves. everyone would be the same and be perfect at what they do in life. i do non think your a negative person!!!! :) <3
